A bit of history...
I began my journey in graphic design while at West Oak High School (SC). My eye for photography was encouraged by a wonderful teacher, Mr. Gill Huggins and from there the path blossomed. I went into Journalism as a junior and became head photographer of the Tribe Staff my senior year. My college experience took me on a journey to northern Michigan were I attended Baker College in Cadillac, MI.
After graduating Magna Cum Laud from Baker’s Graphic Communications program in 1996, I moved to South Dakota to begin a new career as a military wife. My husband and I were stationed at Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, SD where I was hired into the 28th Services Squadron Marketing and Publicity Department as a Visual Information Specialist.
My husband received an Honorable Discharge from the USAF in 1998 and we returned to SC. I spent several years working with some of the best graphic designers at LifeSprings Resources in Franklin Springs, GA. I left LifeSprings for a closer design position at Print It! in Seneca, SC and then I opened my own photography studio (Captured Moments Photography) with my sister-in-law in Westminster, SC.
I became pregnant in 2003 and continued on with studio until after my daughter was born. My studio “plans” changed as our family changed and I chose to stay home full-time with my daughter and freelance. I returned back to school full-time in 2010 and graduated with a BS in Advertising December 2012. from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. While in school, I continued freelancing, designing and photographing helping to strengthen the overall success of each project or event I was a part of. Today I am excited to do what I love and use my skills to help bring happiness to those I work with be it a bride and groom on their big day or a large corporation with a marketing campaign.
